He has been described as the Father of Israel's religious doubt because he had the nerve to question God.

Hab. - How long shall I cry, and thou will not hear... justice is not being rendered... do something about it.
God - I will raise up the Chaldeans (Babylonians) in judgment against Israel.
Hab. - I don't like that... they are more wicked than we... I think I'll just sit back though and see what happens.
God - I'll use Babylon to judge Israel and then judge them for doing it.
God 2:4 - "Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith."
When Babylon comes against you, only those with strong faith will endure. They will live.
Paul uses this quotation for the thesis of his book (Romans 1:16-16).
Today, let's scope the book of Romans and try to get an over view of the book so we can be strengthened, edified, admonished and instructed.

When you point out a fault in someone else, you admit knowing right from wrong.
Delay of judgment does not indicate an escape from the punishment of sin - 2:4-4.
God does not forget.
God will judge on the basis of deeds, not claims 2:6-13.
