Text: Colossians 1:12-14.
The term "translation" means to change something from one existence into another;
to change from one place, condition, etc., to another.
The Christian translation takes place when we first name the name of Jesus.
Acts 2:38, 47.
To be right in God's sight, it is a must that we be translated out of the course
of sin into a life of righteousness.
In this lesson, let's look at what happens when a person is translated out of the
realm of sin into a righteous life before God.
A CHRISTIAN HAS BEEN TRANSLATED "OUT OF DARKNESS" INTO A NEW CREATION.
He is a new creature in Christ Jesus - II Cor. 5:17.
He has a new heart - Ps. 51:17.
He has a new aim and purpose - Col. 3:17.
He has a new hope - Titus 1:2.
He has a new life before him - Rom. 6:1-11.
He has a new home in heaven - I Peter 1:3-4.
His citizenship is in heaven - Phil. 3:20-21.
He is loyal to his King.
Christ's Kingdom is not of this world - John 18:36.
A citizen of Christ's Kingdom seeks the things that are above - Col. 3:1-3.
He seeks the Kingdom first - Matthew 6:33.
He seeks not his own profit, but that of others - I Cor. 10:33.
He has the spirit of his master.
He has the mind of Christ - Phil. 2:5.

A CHRISTIAN IS A PRIEST OF GOD - I PETER 2:5; REV. 1:6.
He presents his body a living sacrifice - Romans 12:1-2.
It is his reasonable service.
He is not conformed to the world.
He is compassionate and unspotted - James 1:27.
A CHRISTIAN'S AFFECTIONS ARE CHANGED.
He loves God with everything - Matthew 22:37-39.
I John 2:15-16.
Loves the brethren - I Peter 1:22.
Loves his enemies - Matthew 5:44-48.
He goes about doing good - Acts 10:38.
He is zealous of good works - Titus 2:14.
A CHRISTIAN IS PREPARED FOR BATTLE AGAINST EVIL.
He puts on God's armor - Eph. 6:11-20.
Fights the good fight - I Tim. 6:12.
His weapons are not carnal - II Cor. 10:4.
He knows his enemy - I Peter 5:8.
THE CHRISTIAN IS FAITHFUL TO HIS CALLING.
He runs the race with patience - Heb. 12:1-2.
He runs lawfully - II Tim. 2:5.
He runs to obtain the prize - I Cor. 9:24.
The Word of Christ dwells in him richly - Col. 3:16.
The Christian grows - II Peter 3:18.
Look at your life and see if you are a translated person?
Has your life borne fruit?
Do you perform your priestly duty?
Are you faithful to your calling?
